Chained Dolls was founded in 2016 by Anna Asbury – a polymer clay artist, jewelry designer and dollmaker based in Louisville, Kentucky. Prior to starting Chained Dolls, Anna spent seven years as an Independent Electronic Artist and nine years as a poet/writer.
Anna is self-taught and works with beads, fabric, yarn and polymer clay. She creates beads which reflect Pan-African, ethnic, tribal and bohemian styles. Having two chronic pain disorders, she designs all of her jewelry to be disability friendly.
In addition to jewelry, Anna creates unique handmade, one-of-a-kind art dolls (African, biracial, white) and travel pillows.
